About The Role

We're looking for a Head of Insights & Analytics to take Paymob's data capabilities to the next level. Our data infrastructure is already in place what we need now is a leader who can:

  • Democratize access to data across all teams.
  • Drive adoption and consistency of insights in decision-making.
  • Build data-driven products that give our merchants powerful insights and create new value streams.

This role sits at the intersection of data, product, and strategy, reporting directly to the VP of Product and partnering closely with Commercial, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and scale Paymob's data strategy, focusing on adoption and impact
  • Drive alignment on business-critical KPIs and ensure consistency across the company.
  • Foster a self-serve analytics culture where all teams can independently extract insights.
  • Enhance existing BI platforms and dashboards for broader usability.
  • Standardize metrics and improve documentation so data is accessible and trusted.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI, GDPR, and local data regulations while enabling access.
  • Deliver actionable insights on merchant performance, acceptance rates, fraud, and customer behavior.
  • Partner with leadership to embed data into strategic and operational decisions.
  • Support experimentation, measurement, and optimization across teams.
  • Translate Paymob's transaction and merchant data into external-facing analytics features and benchmarking tools.
  • Identify opportunities to monetize data through insights-driven products.
  • Partner with Product & Engineering to design and launch merchant-facing products.
  • Lead and grow the Insights & Analytics team.
  • Coach analysts, engineers, and data scientists to become trusted partners across the org.
  • Act as the voice of data in executive decision-making.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in analytics, data strategy, or data product leadership.
  • Proven experience scaling data adoption in high-growth fintech, payments, or e-commerce companies.
  • Hands-on expertise in SQL, Python , and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Deep understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Strong product mindset with experience building customer-facing data products.
  • Exceptional communication skills able to bridge technical depth with business context.
  • Experience working with compliance frameworks in regulated industries is a plus.
