A confidential, customer-focused organisation is seeking a Head of Digital Product Delivery (Mobile App) to lead the strategy, prioritisation, and delivery of a flagship consumer mobile app and its associated customer-facing digital product capabilities.
This is a senior, business-led role with end-to-end accountability for turning strategic ambition into tangible digital outcomes. The role is intentionally hands-on designed for a leader who combines strong product thinking with disciplined programme and delivery execution, and who uses modern delivery practices to ship outcomes.
The Role
As Head of Digital Product Delivery (Mobile App), you will act as the senior business owner for the mobile app. You will define what the product is, how it evolves, and how it delivers value for customers and the business, working in close partnership with Digital Technology teams and external delivery partners.
While not responsible for hands-on software development, this role is deeply embedded in product, programme, and delivery leadership. You will personally drive planning, prioritisation, sequencing, dependencies, milestones, and day-to-day execution to ensure initiatives are delivered with quality, pace, and measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the product vision and strategic roadmap for the mobile app, aligned to customer experience, commercial objectives, and brand standards
- Translate high-level business goals into clear, prioritised product initiatives and releases
- Act as the single point of accountability between business stakeholders and delivery teams
- Lead the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from concept and planning through build, launch, and ongoing optimisation
- Partner closely with Digital Technology teams and external agencies to ensure delivery against agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards
- Establish and maintain a predictable release cadence, with strong stakeholder visibility and confidence
- Balance short-term delivery priorities with longer-term platform scalability and evolution
- Champion a customer-first mindset, working closely with UX/UI resources to deliver intuitive, high-quality digital experiences
- Ensure product quality across functionality, performance, accessibility, and stability
- Define and track product success metrics, using data, analytics, and feedback to continuously improve adoption, engagement, and conversion
- Proactively identify and manage delivery risks, dependencies, and trade-offs in a complex, matrixed environment
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years experience in digital product management, digital programme leadership, or equivalent rolescomfortable owning both the what and the when/how of delivery
- Proven track record delivering consumer-facing digital products, ideally mobile apps or complex digital platforms, with clear evidence of measurable outcomes
- Experience operating in environments with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and delivery partnersable to align teams, manage dependencies, and maintain pace without direct authority
- Deep working knowledge of iterative delivery and product ways of working (Agile/Scrum, SAFe, Lean, or equivalent) and the judgement to apply them pragmatically based on context
- Formal training or certification in product management, agile delivery, or technology delivery methodologies (e.g., Product Management certifications, Agile/Scrum, SAFe, Lean, or equivalent) is highly desirable, with a strong emphasis on practical application over strict framework adherence
- Commercially minded and outcome-focused, with a clear understanding of how digital products create business value
- Experience in travel, hospitality, entertainment, or large-scale consumer brands is advantageous but not essential
