Head of eCommerce & Marketplace
Business Unit: Jihazi.com (Leader Group)
Location: Remote (Egypt-based) managing teams in Saudi Arabia
Reports To: Group CEO / Chief Commercial Officer
Role Summary
Leader Group is seeking an experienced
Head of eCommerce & Marketplace to lead its eCommerce platform jihazi.com , specializing in electronic products and solutions. The role will oversee and drive the performance of three key teams
eCommerce, Commercial, and Operations ensuring growth, profitability, and seamless customer experience.
The successful candidate will have proven expertise in
online marketplace management, sales strategy, vendor/supplier relations (electronics preferred), and cross-functional leadership, with strong knowledge of the
Saudi market.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute Jihazi.com's eCommerce and marketplace growth strategy.
- Own the P&L for the business unit, focusing on revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
- Develop sales and commercial strategies to increase supplier/vendor partnerships and product availability.
- Identify market opportunities and expansion areas within the Saudi SMB and consumer electronics market.
- Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage three teams: eCommerce (digital platform & marketing), Commercial (sales & vendor management), and Operations (logistics, fulfillment, and CX).
- Ensure collaboration across teams to deliver seamless end-to-end marketplace operations.
- Set KPIs, performance standards, and coaching plans to achieve targets.
- Commercial & Vendor Management
- Build and manage strategic relationships with electronics suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, and product assortment to strengthen marketplace competitiveness.
- Expand vendor network to support growth in Saudi Arabia and the region.
- eCommerce & Platform Growth
- Oversee platform enhancements, user experience (UX/UI), and digital campaigns to drive traffic and conversion.
- Collaborate with marketing to design performance-driven campaigns, promotions, and loyalty programs.
- Ensure alignment of product catalog, pricing strategies, and online customer journeys.
- Operations & Customer Experience
- Oversee fulfillment, logistics, and after-sales processes to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
- Drive process improvements in operations for efficiency and scalability.
- Monitor SLAs for delivery, returns, and support to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with finance, technology, and HR to align business objectives.
- Provide strategic input to Group leadership on market trends, competitive landscape, and product opportunities.
- Foster a culture of innovation, performance, and accountability across teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum 1015 years in eCommerce/Marketplace leadership.
- Proven success in driven eCommerce, vendor management, and marketplace operations.
- Preferred experience in electronics suppliers/vendors.
- Strong exposure to the Saudi market (SMB and consumer segments).
- Skills:
- Strong sales, negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
- Strategic planning and execution.
- Leadership of cross-functional and remote teams.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Fluent in English; Arabic preferred.
