Head of Enterprise Applications

We are supporting an established company who is seeking a Head of Enterprise Applications to take ownership of one of its largest application verticals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the application portfolio supporting merchandising, inventory, warehousing, fulfilment, logistics and supply chain.
  • Define and lead a phased modernisation roadmap across legacy and business-critical platforms.
  • Oversee WMS, merchandising, supply chain planning, pricing, promotions and inventory applications.
  • Ensure application stability, service performance, governance and business continuity.
  • Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to align priorities and investment.
  • Manage strategic vendors, implementation partners and managed service providers.
  • Develop the leadership team and maintain clear accountability across the function.
  • Remain hands-on and close to systems, delivery and operational detail.

Experience Required

  • Senior enterprise applications leadership experience within a large, complex organisation.
  • At least five to six years of experience across merchandising and supply chain systems.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain, warehouse, inventory, fulfilment and merchandising processes.
  • Experience leading major application modernisation or legacy transformation programmes.
  • Background within retail, consumer, distribution or another customer-facing sector.
  • Experience managing large teams through senior managers.
  • Oracle experience is beneficial, although other major enterprise platforms will be considered.
  • Strong stakeholder, vendor, budget and operational management experience.

This is a high-visibility role with the potential to progress into broader enterprise applications leadership.
