Head of Finance — Riyadh, KSA
Industry: Real Estate / Hospitality / Branded Residences (high-growth, multi-national operator)
Location: Riyadh, KSA (Saudi-based preferred; open to relocating non-Saudi candidates)
About The Role
We are looking for a
Head of Finance to join the MENA Leadership Team of a high-growth, multi-national organization operating in real estate, hospitality, and branded residences. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for a finance leader who can operate across strategic and operational finance — from building the region's driver-based operating model to owning the monthly close.
You will lead financial strategy, operational rigor, and scalable infrastructure to support sustainable growth across the region, while partnering closely with regional leadership and the global finance organization to drive performance and decision-making.
What You'll Own
Operations & Reporting
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company objectives and regional growth plans
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes
- Deliver timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for leadership, investors, and stakeholders
- Establish and monitor key financial and operational performance indicators
Financial Leadership
- Drive capital allocation decisions through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and macroeconomic insight
- Support fundraising initiatives, banking relationships, and strategic financing activities as needed
Controls & Compliance
- Ensure strong financial governance through effective controls, policies, and compliance processes
- Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, tax advisors, and investors
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, SOCPA/ZATCA, VAT, e-invoicing, and applicable regulatory standards
Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance organization
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Development, Legal, and People teams
Core Responsibilities Include
- Own general ledger integrity, reconciliations, monthly close (5 business days or fewer), and audit prep for KSA entities
- Maintain a 13-week rolling cash-flow, updated weekly; manage banking operations and KYC
- Build and own the driver-based operating model (unit economics → site P&L → regional consolidation)
- Run scenario planning (pricing, staffing, capex, launch cadence) and produce a weekly MENA Cash & KPI pack
- Frame the optimal capital stack for MENA initiatives (equity, project debt, JV/mezz facility administration)
- Coordinate with Property Accounting to ensure accurate building-level statements roll into KSA/MENA reporting
- Level up systems and processes across accounting, expense management, and BI tools
What You Bring
- 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership in high-growth, multi-national environments
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- Professional qualification (CPA/ACCA/CA/SOCPA) with deep IFRS and SOCPA/ZATCA exposure
- Real estate, hospitality, asset management, or other asset-heavy business background
- Hands-on treasury/cash management experience and comfort stewarding senior KSA banking relationships
- Proven ability to build financial models, processes, and controls from scratch
- Track record of financial planning, analysis, and reporting with a data-driven, strategic mindset
- Experience with fundraising, capital markets, and/or investor relations (early or late stage)
- Comfort operating in founder-led, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments
- Advanced modeling skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets; comfort with modern finance systems, automation, and AI-enabled tools
- Fluent in English and Arabic; concise, executive-level communicator
- Nice to have: exposure to property accounting, development pro-formas, real estate/prop-tech
