Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting and finance activities across the business, including AP, AR, general ledger, and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for leadership
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with IFRS and UAE regulations
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance analysis
- Monitor revenue, profitability, operating expenses, cash flow, working capital, and key business drivers
- Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity, banking relationships, and payment processes
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures and coordinate annual audits
- Oversee legal and contractual matters alongside finance responsibilities, including the review and finalization of contracts and commercial agreements
- Partner with leadership and departmental teams on budgeting, cost management, strategic initiatives, partnerships, and growth opportunities
- Develop scalable finance processes and identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency
- Support the implementation and optimization of finance systems, reporting tools, and KPI dashboards
- Lead and develop the finance team while ensuring strong financial governance, accuracy, and accountability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, or equivalent
- 6–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 2–4 years in a finance management or leadership role
- Experience within Insurance, InsurTech, FinTech, Financial Services, or Technology sectors
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and UAE Corporate Tax requirements
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modelling experience
- Experience managing legal and contractual matters, including contract review and finalization
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to provide strategic financial insights and support business decision-making
- Experience in developing finance processes, controls, and reporting systems
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
