About the Client

We are sourcing on behalf of a client who is a venture capital firm operating in the region. They invest across various stages and sectors with a focus on technology companies. The firm works closely with their portfolio companies to support growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Fund & Corporate Finance Operations: Lead financial management activities across our fund entities and management company. Overseeing BAU processes including, but not limited to, budgeting, audits, forecasting, capital planning, and compliance with management company structures & compliance. Support the team in building scalable, tech-forward processes for operational excellence.
  • Support and Implement Strategic Finance Frameworks: Implement and support firm leadership in the development of analytical best-in-class frameworks to inform critical investment and fund management decision-making such as DPI & IRR balance, fund optimization, exit discipline, fund structuring, and other special institutionalization projects. Additionally, establish strategic relationships with partners such as banks, brokerages, and tax advisors to advance the firm's institutionalization.
  • Support in Investor Reporting & External Communications: Support with LP communication by providing insightful finance views for regular and ad-hoc investor meetings and reporting cadences. Liaise with investor finance teams, auditors, and legal counsel with clarity, accuracy, and credibility. Translate complex fund dynamics into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders.

Experiences and Skills

  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 2 years of finance experience within private equity or venture capital.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with prior experience in a large, structured finance organization.
  • Accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Strong command of FP&A, fund accounting, and financial modeling.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and executive stakeholder management.
  • Obsessive attention to detail and high personal accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with speed and accuracy in high-stakes, time-sensitive contexts.
  • Intrinsically process-driven and desire for operational excellence.
  • Familiarity with UAE / GCC fund structures and regulatory environments is a bonus.
  • Technologically curious — confident with advanced spreadsheets, fund administration systems, and affinity to explore new tools to drive efficiency.
