Head of Human Resources, Automotive, Abu Dhabi

A leading automotive group in the UAE is appointing a Head of Human Resources.

The role owns the people agenda across a multi-site business and supports the Chairman.

THE ROLE

• The successful professional will own the full HR function, set its direction and hold it accountable to the business.
• Workforce planning. Build a clear view of the talent the group needs, where it needs it and when.
• Regulatory compliance. Own compliance with UAE labour law and Emiratisation requirements. Manage the risk before it becomes an issue.
• Compensation and benefits. Design and govern reward structures that are competitive, fair and commercially sound.
• HR operating model. Build the structure, systems and capability the function needs to serve a growing group.
• Culture and performance. Shape a performance culture that holds across multiple sites, teams and leadership levels.
• Executive advisory. Advise the Chairman and senior leadership on people decisions that carry commercial weight.

TO QUALIFY

• Automotive or dealership experience, with multi-site exposure. This is essential.
• CIPD qualified.
• This is important criteria for the client - 8 to 15 years of professional experience, with a substantial and recent share in the UAE.
• Proven experience leading an HR function at senior level.
• Working command of UAE labour law and Emiratisation.
• Credibility with owners, executives and Boards.
• Resident in Abu Dhabi, with an established professional network.
