Role purpose:
Lead the day-to-day international media relations function, develop media engagement strategies, and manage relationships with key international media while overseeing campaign execution.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement international media relations strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with leading international media outlets, including Bloomberg, Reuters, Financial Times (FT), and other influential global publications.
- Identify and secure high-impact media opportunities and proactively position the organization's leadership and initiatives.
- Develop and execute international editorial campaigns across priority markets.
- Manage media inquiries, interviews, and press engagements.
- Assess media and reputational risks and provide strategic recommendations to mitigate potential issues.
- Support crisis communications and sensitive media situations.
- Monitor global media coverage and identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Lead and mentor the media relations team and manage agency partners where applicable.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English with outstanding communication and writing skills.
- 8–12 years of experience in international media relations or corporate communications.
- Strong network of international business, financial, and mainstream media contacts.
- Proven experience managing sensitive and high-profile media issues.
- Track record of delivering successful international media campaigns.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
