Job Purpose:
To lead the execution of the banks approved Islamic Banking and retail products strategy by translating consumer and retail direction into customer‑centric, commercially sustainable and Shari'ah‑compliant products and services, enabling new customer acquisition, delivering end‑to‑end solutions aligned to customer needs, and ensuring strategic and financial objectives are achieved within the Bank's governance, risk and regulatory framework.
Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning:
In conjunction with, and as required by the Chief Officer of the Group, contribute to the formulation, implementation and delivery of the Group's strategy in line with the banks vision, mission, values and priorities Translate the strategy into operational business plans for the short, medium and long term within the department(s) and ensure that performance is monitored, reported and delivered and necessary actions are taken to achieve the strategy and plans.
Product Management:
Oversee and direct the end‑to‑end management of Islamic Banking and Retail Banking products by guiding product design, enhancement, promotion, documentation, delivery and ongoing quality monitoring, ensuring that all products and services operate within approved regulatory standards and that Islamic products remain fully compliant with Shari'ah governance requirements Ensure consistency of product execution across channels and lifecycle stages.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Drive the development and enhancement of Islamic Banking and Retail Banking products by aligning product capabilities with customer needs, acquisition priorities and cross‑sell opportunities, supporting sustainable growth in customer base, product penetration and portfolio profitability in line with approved departmental and Group objectives Ensure effective collaboration with distribution channels including branches, direct sales agents and relationship managers by enabling product readiness, providing guidance on value propositions and supporting sales execution, in order to maximise product uptake, revenue generation and consistent customer experience across all channels.
Compliance:
Contribute to the implementation and ongoing embedding of sound corporate governance standards, risk frameworks and control practices within Islamic Banking and Retail Products, ensuring that commercial objectives, risk appetite and business prudence are appropriately balanced in line with approved Group governance principles and stakeholder expectations.
