My Client a Digital Bank has an urgent needs for a Head of Legal.

The Head of Legal will lead the legal function, providing strategic legal advice and ensuring compliance across the organisation. This role is responsible for managing legal risks, overseeing contracts, regulatory matters, and corporate governance, while supporting business objectives and safeguarding the company's interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel to the executive team and business units on a wide range of commercial, regulatory, and corporate matters.
- Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across all jurisdictions of operation.
- Manage relationships with external legal advisors and coordinate legal support as needed.
- Lead corporate governance activities, including board meetings, resolutions, and statutory filings.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with business initiatives and transactions.
- Support dispute resolution, litigation management, and regulatory investigations.
- Develop and implement legal policies, training, and best practices to promote legal awareness within the organization.
- Lead and mentor the in-house legal team, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
Experience
- Extensive legal experience (10+ years), preferably in a senior legal leadership role within relevant industries.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance law.
- Proven track record in contract negotiation, risk management, and dispute resolution.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies and managing compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.
- Law degree from a recognised institution; additional qualifications or certifications are a plus.
- Experience in multinational or complex organisational environments is preferred
