Head of Maintenance (GM Level) Fertilizer Plant
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced Head of Maintenance to lead maintenance operations for a large-scale fertilizer / chemical manufacturing complex. The role is responsible for ensuring high plant reliability, safe operations, and optimal lifecycle management of critical process equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead maintenance strategy for ammonia, urea, utilities, and offsite units
- Drive preventive, predictive, and turnaround maintenance for continuous process plants
- Ensure high availability and reliability of rotating & static equipment (compressors, turbines, reactors, exchangers, pumps)
- Oversee mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & automation maintenance functions
- Lead major shutdowns, revamps, and capacity enhancement projects
- Implement best practices in TPM, RCM, RBI, RCA and condition monitoring
- Ensure compliance with process safety, statutory, and environmental norms
- Manage large in-house teams, contractors, maintenance budgets, and critical spares
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation or Chemical)
- 25+ years of maintenance experience in fertilizer or large chemical plants
- Proven experience at GM / Head of Maintenance level in continuous process operations
- Strong leadership, shutdown management, and reliability engineering expertise
