The Head of Marketing at 1Shot is a business-critical leadership role, responsible for building the brand from zero to scale. This is not a maintenance or campaign-only role. The individual will own brand narrative, demand creation, customer acquisition, and routine adoption, working closely with the founders to translate vision into measurable market traction.
This role requires high flexibility, deep ownership, and hands-on execution, especially in the pre-launch and early launch phases.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Building & Positioning
Own and define the 1Shot brand narrative, tone of voice, and positioning across all touchpoints
Build a credible, science-backed lifestyle brand, not a short-term FMCG hype product
Ensure consistent storytelling across digital, PR, packaging, partnerships, and on-ground activations
2. Go-To-Market & Demand Generation
Design and execute the go-to-market strategy for UAE launch (and future markets)
Build demand before, during, and after launch through organic, paid, PR, and community-led efforts
Identify and test distribution-aligned marketing strategies (HoReCa, D2C, subscriptions, partnerships)
3. Zero-to-One Execution
Personally execute early-stage marketing work including:
Campaign concepts and execution
Content direction and copy (digital, website, social, PR)
Influencer, community, and partnership initiatives
Build systems and processes while executing, not after
4. Ownership of Outcomes
Take full ownership of marketing outcomes, including:
Brand awareness
Demand generation
Customer acquisition and retention
Routine adoption and repeat usage
Be accountable for results, not just activity or output
5. Team & Stakeholder Leadership
Manage and develop the marketing team (in-house and external partners)
Work closely with founders, product, sales, and operations to ensure alignment
Coordinate with agencies, creators, PR partners, and media platforms
6. Data-Driven Decision Making
Track and analyze key metrics across funnels and channels
Continuously test, learn, and iterate based on performance
Balance brand-building intuition with data discipline
Required Profile
Experience & Mindset
Proven experience in building brands or products from early stage or zero base
Comfortable operating in high-ambiguity, fast-changing startup environments
Strong bias toward ownership, speed, and execution
Willing to be both strategic and hands-on, especially pre-scale
Skills
Strong brand strategy and storytelling capability
Deep understanding of digital marketing, content, PR, and growth fundamentals
Ability to design marketing under budget and resource constraints
Excellent communication and leadership skills
