Role summary
We're looking for a strategic, hands-on Head of MarCom to build and lead our brand, communications and demand-generation engine across Abu Dhabi and the wider GCC. You'll define brand positioning, run integrated campaigns (digital + offline), lead PR & thought leadership, and grow client acquisition while managing a small team of specialists.
Key responsibilities
- Set the brand & communications strategy for X14 aligned with business goals and Abu Dhabi market dynamics.
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns (digital, OOH, PR, events, content, partnerships) from strategy through execution and measurement.
- Lead MarCom team: hiring, mentoring, performance management, and workload prioritization.
- Develop and own brand positioning, messaging, tone of voice, and creative direction.
- Manage media planning/buying and agency/freelancer relationships to optimize ROI.
- Oversee PR and stakeholder relationsbuild relationships with local media (Abu Dhabi & Dubai), government communications bodies and trade press.
- Drive demand generation and pipeline for services: define funnel, run ABM, nurture leads and align with sales.
- Set KPIs, run analytics and report ROI on campaigns; use data to optimize spend and creative.
- Budget ownership for MarCom spend and vendor contracts.
- Represent X14 at industry events and client forums across the UAE & GCC.
Must-have experience & skills
- 10+ years marketing/communications experience, with 46 years in a senior leadership role (Head / Director) ideally in media, agency, production house or fast-growing B2B/B2C services.
- Proven track record of building brands and running integrated campaigns across digital, events and PR in the UAE / GCC market. (Demonstrable case studies required.)
- Strong leadership hiring, coaching and building small cross-functional teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management able to present to board/clients and influence senior leaders.
- Hands-on digital marketing skills: paid media, SEO/SEM, content strategy, analytics (Google Analytics / equivalent).
- Experience managing media buys and agency partnerships.
- Strong written & spoken Arabic.
- UAE experience and local/regulatory knowledge (e.g., advertising rules, event approvals) preferred.
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and occasional client/event travel across the region.
