Purpose of the Role
The Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing, leading, and overseeing the strategic planning and execution of all marketing initiatives to drive sustainable revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability for the Neuroscience franchise across MENA Region. This includes setting the long-term vision, positioning, and tactical direction for key brands, ensuring alignment with company objectives while adapting to local market dynamics.
Required Competencies, Qualifications and Experience
- Experienced graduate, with a Medical Professional Degree (BSc.), preferably with Marketing Qualifications and/or MBA
- Proven marketing performance in a multinational pharmaceutical company within a Marketing Manager role
- Minimum of three to five years marketing experience in a senior role within the MENA region, mainly KSA and Gulf
- Preferably with background in sales management
- Experience working within the Neuroscience therapeutic area
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Strategic Impact & ROI
- Maximize commercial impact for all of the relevant group therapy area products
- Investigate all strategic alternatives in commercializing new concepts
- Monitor market trends in the region and advise management of changes in competition, product availability or related matters
- Participate in the development of marketing policy, recommending product revisions and pricing strategies
- Select and develop distributors, dealers and other outlets and supervise customer service activities within the region, as appropriate
- Manage all budgetary responsibilities
- Develop and recommend marketing plans and annual sales forecasts for the region, purpose budgets and advise management on the market strategies required to achieve sales targets
- Explore new business opportunities through continuous assessment of market dynamics
Brand Plan Implementation & Evaluation
- Direct marketing activities for the achievement of short- and long-term business objectives, increased profit, and market control
- Establish & co-ordinate the marketing objectives, policies, and programs within the context of the overall corporate plan and where appropriate, recommend standards and set targets
- Direct the preparation of operations matters including market research, advertising, promotion, distribution, pricing and selling
Market Analysis & Forecasting
- Ensure strategy is underpinned by consumer research to determine needs of target audience
- Ensure the use of effective forecast models and make recommendations for improvement as necessary
- Review top line market forecasting for team to ensure accuracy and facilitate development
- Monitor market place competitor product evolution
Building Effective Business Partnerships
- Support and Collaborate Group Therapy Area leadership team to delivery competitive advantage and to achieve MENA and overall business objectives
- Ensure and improve field force effectiveness through providing a complete and continuous training plan
- Ensure the implementation of management plans for all KOLs to advance business partnerships
- Develop sound business partnerships with all internal, external, and global stakeholders
Leads a High Performing Team
- Develops and builds a cohesive, successful, and high performing team through effective management of team members, including selection, development, and retention of talent
