Functional Description:
The Head of Media and Institutional Identity Unit is responsible for leading and managing the University's media and institutional identity functions to ensure consistent representation, unified messaging, and alignment with the University's strategic objectives and brand standards. The role focuses on planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of media and identity-related initiatives in accordance with approved governance frameworks.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the Media and University Identity Unit and follow up on the implementation of the media plan in alignment with the University's strategic objectives.
- Develop and oversee the implementation and follow-up of approved media and institutional identity plans in alignment with the University's strategic direction.
- Monitor the execution of media initiatives and identity-related campaigns to ensure quality, consistency, and timeliness.
- Prepare periodic reports on media and identity activities, performance indicators, and outcomes for senior management review.
- Ensure media and communication content is developed, reviewed, and aligned with the University's identity in accordance with the approved governance process.
- Guide and support teams in producing accurate, professional, and University-identity-compliant materials across all platforms.
- Coordinate media coverage for university activities, events, and initiatives in collaboration with relevant internal units.
- Ensure proper documentation and dissemination of university achievements and official activities through approved channels.
- Maintain organized records and archives of media outputs and University identity materials.
- Oversee the use and consistency of the University's official media and digital platforms in coordination with relevant technical and administrative units.
- Ensure digital and media outputs support the University's visibility while adhering to approved policies and guidelines.
- Ensure all media and University identity activities comply with university policies and applicable Saudi regulations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support official announcements, campaigns, and University initiatives.
- Provide advisory input on media and University identity matters to senior management when required.
- Ensure effective coordination within the unit and with academic and administrative units across the University.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in media, Communication, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in media, branding, or institutional communication. At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably within a higher education or large institutional environment.
