Job Purpose
Leading and managing the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) supervision team across multiple projects or a large sector, ensuring all MEP works are executed according to approved designs, specifications, and contract requirements, while maintaining quality, schedule, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the MEP supervision team, including senior engineers, site engineers, and coordinators.
- Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and mentor MEP team members.
- Ensure effective communication between site teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Oversee the supervision of all MEP systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and low current systems.
- Review and approve MEP designs, shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals.
- Ensure compliance of MEP works with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and civil supervision teams to resolve technical conflicts.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures and site inspections for MEP works.
- Ensure all MEP works adhere to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Conduct regular site audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Review and monitor project schedules related to MEP works.
- Prepare and review weekly, monthly, and milestone progress reports for management and clients.
- Track site issues, delays, and risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Assist in evaluating variations, change orders, and contractor claims for MEP works.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits, claims, and project handovers.
- Support management in resolving contractual disputes related to MEP scope.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (with MEP specialization preferred)
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in MEP engineering, construction, or supervision
- At least 5–7 years in a managerial level
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or residential projects
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and international MEP standards is preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Expertise in MEP design, construction, and supervision
- Ability to read, interpret, and review MEP drawings and specifications
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and reporting skills
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
