About the Role

As Head of Operations – Software & Hardware, you'll own the operational backbone of the company — ensuring software delivery, hardware production/logistics, and cross-functional processes run efficiently, reliably, and at scale. This is a senior executive role for a proven operations leader with deep experience spanning both software and hardware environments, who can bring structure, discipline, and strategic direction to a complex, multi-disciplinary organization.

What You'll Do

Own overall operational strategy and execution across software and hardware functions
Lead and scale cross-functional operations teams, ensuring alignment across engineering, manufacturing/supply chain, product, and support
Build and optimize processes for software delivery (release management, QA, deployment) and hardware operations (procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality control)
Manage vendor and supplier relationships for hardware components, manufacturing, and logistics
Establish and monitor operational KPIs across both software and hardware workstreams, reporting to executive leadership
Drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and risk management across the organization
Oversee resource planning, budgeting, and capacity management at an organizational level
Ensure compliance with relevant industry, quality, and safety standards for hardware products
Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, scaling initiatives, and organizational design
Lead crisis and escalation management for major operational disruptions

What We're Looking For

15+ years of experience in operations leadership, with proven experience spanning both software and hardware environments
Track record of building and scaling operations functions in a growth-stage or complex organization
Strong understanding of software development/delivery lifecycles as well as hardware manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics
Experience managing vendor, supplier, and manufacturing partner relationships
Strong financial acumen, including budget ownership and cost management at scale
Excellent leadership skills, with experience building, mentoring, and scaling cross-functional teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

Experience in a company producing connected/IoT hardware alongside software products
Six Sigma, Lean, or related process improvement certification
Experience with ERP, MRP, or supply chain management systems
Prior experience scaling operations through significant company growth or geographic expansion
