Job Description
1. Strategic Leadership & Growth
Develop and execute a unified Partnership and Business Development strategy aligned with Fawry MSME Finance growth, profitability, and risk appetite.
Identify and size new markets, segments, and revenue pools that can be unlocked through partnerships or new products.
Drive product innovation for Micro and SME lending, including secured, unsecured, supply-chain, vendor-based, and revenue-based financing.
2. External Partnership Management
Acquire, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships with:
o Vendors and distributors (open-pool & closed-pool models).
o Large merchant ecosystems.
o Corporate partners with merchant or supplier bases.
o Digital platforms and aggregators.
Build partnership frameworks enabling:
o Financing for merchants buying from partnered vendors
o Lead generation and merchant acquisition for Fawry MSME Finance.
o Co-branded products and joint commercial offerings.
Maintain strong long-term relationships and ensure partners engagement, performance, and continuous growth.
3. Product Creation & Commercial Modeling
Lead product development for both Micro and SME lending:
o Defining product rules, pricing, eligibility, and value proposition
o Running market assessments and competitive bench-marking.
o Designing incentive schemes and commercial models (including revenue sharing)
Work with Risk to ensure alignment on portfolio quality and product economics.
Use data analytics to evaluate product traction, profitability, and operational performance.
4. Business Development Operations
Lead BD teams: business coordinators, product managers, researchers.
Oversee market research and competitive intelligence to identify trends, customer needs, and upcoming opportunities.
Manage funnel creation from partners, ensuring high conversion rates and operational efficiency.
Work with Technology to automate onboarding, product flows, and partnership integrations.
5. Performance Management & Governance
Ensure all partnership and BD activities comply with internal controls, risk policies, FRA regulations, and governance standards.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to CEO, EXCOM, Board, and internal stakeholders.
Provide regular performance reviews, coaching, and productivity enhancement plans for team members.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
Postgraduate or MBA is a strong advantage.
Prior Work Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in partnerships, business development, product, corporate sales, or strategic roles.
At least 5+ years in senior management leading multi-functional teams.
Proven track record of deal origination and partnership portfolio scaling.
Experience in financial services, fin-tech, FMCG, commercial banking, or supply-chain/merchant ecosystems preferred.
Language Proficiency
Fluency in both written & spoken English and Arabic.

Knowledge & Competencies
Deep understanding of B2B partnership models.
Knowledge of lending products (Micro & SME), risk principles, and pricing strategies.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial modeling.
Familiarity with merchant ecosystems, vendors, supply chains, and trade finance.
Experience designing incentive plans and performance-driven programs.
Solid understanding of digital platforms, APIs, and technology-driven partnerships.
