Job Description

JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:

To lead and manage Policy Development Section by ensure of devolving, updating publishing and archiving banks policies and committees charters.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Strategy

  • Contributes to the development of departmental strategy and ensures the alignment with the function, bank objectives and initiatives.

Policies, Processes & Procedures

  • Recommends improvements to departmental policy and processes.
  • Implements approved departmental policies, processes, procedures, provides instructions to subordinates, and monitors their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.

Day- to-day operations

  • Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the Policy Development Sectionand ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

Procedure Development and archiving

  • Leads the development and maintenance of banks policies and committees charters as per the scope and approved procedures.
  • Develop and conduct annual review plan for outdated polices in order to ensure the compliance with the regulation and bank standers.
  • Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement taking into account international best practice.
  • Ensure safe archiving of all related documents and maintain a smart electronic Library

Change Management and Communication

  • supervise the continuous improvement of the section including up skilling of the team, improving quality assurance methods and reports as required in order to meet the needs of the business in a timely, cost effective and efficient manner
  • Partnership with business in managing all the projects for defining new and changing existing policies and charters.
  • Represents the function and actively contributes in various committees/meetings in order to ensure relevant matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct awareness sessions regarding process enhancements standers and practices in order to identify areas of improvement.
  • Effective coordination with the bank departments to ensure of a proper communication and objectives alignment.
  • Collaborates with the Business Process Architect Sections in order to align the processes with procedures and SLAs to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the process.

People Management

  • Ensures all staff have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, formal annual appraisals, and individual development plans.
  • Organizes and supervises the activities and work of a team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.

Reporting

  • Ensures that all section related reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet Riyad bank and Department requirements, policies and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

  • 8-10 years

Language:

English: Advanced

Technical Knowledge areas:

  • Knowledge of regulations , legal rules and relevant laws
  • Knowledge of Banking products and services
  • Knowledge and experience of Business Architecture
