We are seeking a highly strategic and commercially driven Head of Pricing & Promotions to lead the end‑to‑end pricing and promotional agenda across a large, diversified group in Abu Dhabi. This leadership role is critical in shaping price perception, driving revenue growth, maximizing supplier investments, and protecting profitability across all product categories and channels.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in pricing frameworks, promotional planning, and commercial analytics, with a strong track record in FMCG environments within the UAE or region.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the organization's overall pricing strategy across all categories and channels.
- Manage and monitor price index vs key UAE competitors.
- Identify and manage Key Value Items (KVIs) to strengthen customer price perception.
- Develop and lead the annual promotional strategy and calendar.
- Ensure promotions deliver incremental sales growth and margin improvement.
- Lead the execution of weekly flyers and promotional campaigns.
- Ensure optimal SKU selection based on commercial priorities, supplier funding, and customer demand.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Category teams to ensure strong campaign visibility and impact.
- Maximize supplier funding and commercial contributions.
- Lead post-promotion analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build robust dashboards and reporting tools for decision-making.
- Monitor competitor pricing and promotional activities across the UAE retail market.
- Ensure alignment between strategy, execution, and operational readiness.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Pricing & Promotions team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in pricing, promotions, category management, or commercial strategy within FMCG.
- Proven experience designing and implementing pricing strategies and promotional frameworks.
- Strong understanding of UAE FMCG market dynamics and competitive landscape.
- Demonstrated success in margin optimization, price perception improvement, and promotional ROI delivery.
- Experience working with SAP, pricing tools, and analytics dashboards.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Advanced analytical and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
