Job Description
Job Title: Head of Project Planning
Position Objective
Drive effective planning and scheduling of engineering projects to ensure on-time delivery across all disciplines and locations. Provide proactive schedule oversight, identify risks and delays, and implement corrective measures to optimize project performance. Support the HODs and PMO Office to enhance resource efficiency and strengthen planning standards to ensure consistency and coordination across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules covering all design phases aligned with contractual milestones.
Coordinate with project managers, HODs, and regional teams to define realistic timelines and resource allocation.
Track project progress, identify delays, and propose corrective and recovery actions.
Prepare and update baseline schedules, lookahead plans, and progress updates.
Analyze critical paths, risks, and constraints and support mitigation planning.
Prepare planning reports, dashboards, and performance indicators.
Support resource planning and manpower allocation.
Ensure consistency of planning standards and methodologies.
Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
Experience: 12-15 years in project planning within an A&E consulting or engineering environment.
Proven experience in engineering design schedules and multi-disciplinary environments.
Regional experience (Egypt, KSA, Lebanon, GCC) is an advantage.
Proficiency in Deltek, Primavera P6, and/or Microsoft Project.
