We're Hiring: Head of Research & Development (R&D) – FMCG

Location: Egypt

POLYGRA is seeking an experienced and innovative Head of Research & Development (R&D) to lead product innovation, formulation development, and commercialization initiatives across our FMCG portfolio.

This is a strategic leadership role for a professional who combines strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of consumer trends, manufacturing processes, quality standards, and market-driven product development.

• Lead the end-to-end R&D function, from concept development to commercial launch.
• Drive innovation pipelines and identify new product opportunities aligned with market demand.
• Develop, optimize, and validate product formulations and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety, quality, regulatory, and labeling requirements.
• Manage pilot trials, scale-up activities, and product commercialization projects.
• Build and lead a high-performing R&D team while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, ingredients, and consumer insights to maintain competitive advantage.

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Extensive experience in FMCG product development and innovation.
• Proven leadership experience managing R&D teams and cross-functional projects.
• Strong knowledge of product formulation, processing technologies, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to transform innovative ideas into commercially successful products.
