We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a
Head of SHES. This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below.
Title:
Head of SHES
Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)
Location: Onshore (Doha HQ/Qatar Site)
Working Schedule: 6 days per week / 8-10 hours per day or as per project requirement
Key Job Accountabilities
- Lead the Project SHES strategy and governance framework.
- Ensure compliance with client SHES Management System and regulatory requirements.
- Direct contractor SHES performance management and assurance programmes.
- Provide SHES leadership to Project Management and Operations.
- Lead strategic risk management and critical risk control verification.
- Approve Project SHES Plans, procedures and assurance programmes.
- Lead major incident investigations and organisational learning.
- Develop SHES capability, succession planning and leadership coaching.
- Drive workforce engagement, worker welfare and positive safety culture.
- Promote continuous improvement and SHES excellence throughout project execution.
Qualifications
--Minimum Requirements--
- Bachelor's degree in sciences, safety, health, environment security, or engineering
Knowledge and Key Skills
- 10 years experience in SHES in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
