Job Summary

The Head of Strategy, PMO & Digital Transformation & Business Planning is responsible for leading the organization's strategic direction, enterprise project governance, digital transformation initiatives, and business planning processes. This role ensures alignment between corporate strategy, project execution, and operational planning while leveraging IT systems and data analytics to drive performance and sustainable growth. The role plays a critical part in enhancing organizational effectiveness by integrating strategy, PMO governance, digital capabilities, and structured planning frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Strategy & Business Planning

  • Lead the development and execution of corporate strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Drive annual business planning cycles including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives and measurable outcomes.

PMO & Project Governance

  • Establish and lead the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure effective project governance and execution.
  • Define and standardize project management methodologies, tools, and reporting frameworks.
  • Oversee the project portfolio to ensure alignment with strategic priorities, timelines, and budgets.

Digital Transformation & IT Enablement

  • Drive digital transformation initiatives across the organization to enhance efficiency and innovation.
  • Oversee implementation, optimization, and utilization of ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Collaborate with IT teams to improve system integration, automation, and digital capabilities.

Business Planning & Performance Management

  • Lead performance management frameworks including KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Monitor organizational performance and provide insights to senior leadership for decision-making.
  • Ensure alignment between strategy, planning, and execution across all business units.

Operations & Business Support

  • Oversee business support functions to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Manage budgeting, cost optimization, and resource allocation across functions.
  • Support operational teams with tools, systems, and administrative services required for execution.

Data & Analytics

  • Establish data-driven decision-making practices through analytics and reporting tools.
  • Develop dashboards and performance tracking systems to support leadership insights.

Risk, Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry requirements.
  • Identify strategic and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain governance frameworks across strategy, PMO, and planning functions.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and external entities including government and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment across all levels of the organization.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost savings.
  • Promote innovation through digital tools, analytics, and best practices.

Business Continuity

  • Develop and implement business continuity and emergency response plans.
  • Ensure organizational resilience and readiness for disruptions.

Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong expertise in strategy development, business planning, and execution frameworks.
  • Advanced knowledge of PMO governance and project portfolio management.
  • Solid background in IT systems, ERP (SAP preferred), and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.

Experience and Qualification:

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience, including:
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership or head-level role
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field or master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred
  • Proven experience in Strategy, PMO, Digital Transformation, and Business Planning
  • GCC experience is a strong advantage
