Job Summary
GEMS Founders Al Mizhar, Dubai are looking to appoint a Head of Student Welfare. As a middle leader you will lead, manage, and be accountable for the quality of school s pastoral provision, the school House system, educational visits leadership and the EP/ASA provision, in order to promote the fulfilment of the school s vision:
To empower students to have the heart to celebrate uniqueness and the mind to be innovative, creative problem solvers, bringing a positive change to the world in which we live
Key responsibilities include:
Promoting and ensuring student development and well being.
Leading teaching and learning and managing policy within the context of the Student Welfare.
Leading and managing people and teams.
Managing resources.
Promoting and representing the Welfare of all students.
The successful applicant will have the following:
B.Ed. or a relevant qualification at degree level and a recognized teaching qualification such as a PGCE / PGDE.
Minimum 3 years teaching the National Curriculum for England.
A personal track record of outstanding teaching and learning.
Experience in a similar position.
The successful candidate will be resilient with excellent written and verbal communication skills, will have experience leading a team and effecting positive change.
