Head of Technology

Role Description The Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This position is responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing program design and implementation, and ensuring that all initiatives align with Shakti Foundation's mission of empowering disadvantaged women. The Director will manage senior staff, facilitate cross-functional coordination, and monitor program performance, budgets, and operational efficiency. The role includes cultivating partnerships with donors, government agencies, and community stakeholders, as well as representing the organization in external forums and advocacy efforts. The Director will also lead organizational planning, risk management, compliance, and continuous improvement to strengthen impact across all service areas.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, team management, and organizational development skills, with experience guiding multidisciplinary teams.
• Expertise in program design, monitoring and evaluation, and impact measurement, preferably in development or nonprofit sectors.
• Financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation skills, including experience with donor-funded projects.
• Stakeholder engagement, partnership building, and advocacy skills with government bodies, donors, and community organizations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Bangla is highly beneficial.
• Proven experience in microfinance, community development, or women's economic empowerment initiatives is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Dhaka and travel within Bangladesh as required to oversee programs and field operations.
• Master's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; significant relevant experience may substitute for specific academic background.
• Demonstrated commitment to gender equity, social inclusion, and ethical, non-discriminatory leadership practices.
