What You'll Do
- Lead the strategy, architecture, and execution of front office trading technology, spanning order management, execution management, market data, and risk systems.
- Drive greenfield technology projects from concept through to production, establishing scalable and resilient foundations for future growth.
- Own and evolve the multi-year technology roadmap, balancing modernisation of legacy platforms with delivery of new capabilities.
- Lead major modernisation initiatives migrating complex, business-critical systems with minimal disruption to trading operations.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team, instilling strong engineering practices and a culture of ownership.
- Partner directly with traders, PMs, and quants to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role (Head of Technology, Director of Engineering, VP Engineering, or similar) within a buy-side firm, asset manager, hedge fund, or systematic trading business.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of front office trading systems: OMS/EMS, market data, execution algorithms, and portfolio/risk platforms.
- Track record of successfully delivering greenfield technology projects and leading large-scale technology modernisation programmes.
- Demonstrated experience owning and evolving technology roadmaps aligned to business strategy.
- Strong technical background across distributed systems, low-latency architecture, and complex system integration.
- Experience managing and developing engineering teams, with the ability to attract and retain top talent.
