Role Overview
The Senior Head of Treasury is a strategic leadership role critical for optimizing the Group's global liquidity, financial risk, and banking relationships. This position is pivotal for scaling the company's international financial operations by centralizing and managing global cash flows, strengthening banking partnerships, and ensuring robust treasury operations in line with the Group's strategic expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Treasury & Liquidity Management
- Oversee the Group's global cash management structure, including the collection and consolidation of incoming funds from worldwide branches and legal entities.
- Develop and execute strategies for optimal fund allocation and disbursement across various payment channels and subsidiaries.
- Manage daily liquidity, ensuring sufficient working capital for all operations while maximizing returns on surplus cash.
- Banking & Financial Partnerships
- Serve as the Group's primary point of contact for strategic banking relationships in the UAE and GCC region.
- Leverage deep, existing relationships with top-tier UAE banks (e.g., Emirates NBD, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank) to negotiate favorable terms, secure financing, and access new banking products.
- Lead the onboarding and management of new banking partners and payment institutions globally.
- Financial Risk & Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive treasury risk management framework, covering FX, interest rate, and counterparty risks.
- Prepare and present strategic investment cases for treasury initiatives, technology upgrades, and new financial structures to the Group CFO and Board.
- Optimize the Group's capital structure and funding strategies.
- Systems & Operations
- Drive the continuous improvement of global treasury processes, payment systems, and cash flow forecasting models.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate treasury policies, and relevant regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions.
Candidate Profile
- Proven senior leadership experience in a corporate treasury function within a large international corporation. Prior experience in a banking relationship management role is highly advantageous.
- Must have direct, recent experience working in the UAE, with an extensive and active network of contacts at senior levels within major UAE banks (Emirates NBD experience is a mandatory requirement).
- Deep understanding of global cash management, payment systems, and liquidity solutions for multinational organizations.
- A track record of successfully negotiating with financial institutions and managing complex, multi-currency treasury operations.
- Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a complex, multi-entity group structure.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; capable of interacting at Board and C-suite level.
- Critical Note: The candidate may be currently employed by a bank (in a corporate coverage role) but must have prior, substantial corporate treasury experience on the client side. Alternatively, the candidate may be a current CFO or Deputy CFO with deep, hands-on treasury expertise.
