Role Overview
We are seeking an
experienced Site Supervision Engineer (Infrastructure) to support the supervision of
roads and bridges projects in Dubai, delivered in accordance with
RTA standards and requirements. This is a short-term role for
6 months with the possibility of an extension.
The role will focus on on-site supervision, coordination, and compliance monitoring of infrastructure works, ensuring construction activities are executed in line with approved drawings, technical specifications, RTA guidelines, and applicable local and international standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining quality, safety, and programme performance on site.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and monitor infrastructure construction works related to roads and bridges, including:
- Earthworks and road formation
- Pavement layers (sub-base, base course, asphalt works)
- Drainage, utilities, and associated civil works
- Bridge foundations, substructures, and superstructures
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, RTA standards, and contract requirements.
- Review and monitor inspection requests (IRs), method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings related to infrastructure works.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship quality, construction sequencing, and adherence to approved methodologies.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, RTA representatives, and project stakeholders to resolve site and technical issues.
- Identify, report, and follow up on non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and closed out.
- Monitor construction progress and assist with reporting against programme milestones.
- Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements on site.
- Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and supervision documentation in line with project and RTA requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in site supervision of infrastructure projects, particularly roads and bridges.
- Demonstrated experience working on RTA projects in Dubai with strong knowledge of RTA standards, specifications, and approval processes.
- Solid understanding of roadworks, bridge construction methodologies, materials, and applicable standards.
- Experience working with contractors on large-scale infrastructure or transport projects.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Proficiency in MS Office and site supervision / reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, site-based environment.
