Our client is a 40-year-old and an ISO-certified independent technical service company providing Valve Repair & Refurbishment, Valve Automation Services, Inspection & Testing of Valves, System Integration, Actuator Overhauling & Repair, Passive Fire Protection, Valve Interlocking Services, Installation & Commissioning, Fabrication Services and Site Services to their wide range of client and customers.
Currently we are hiring a QHSE ENGINEER for our client in Abu Dhabi location.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and improve QHSE management systems, processes, and procedures to support business operations in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & OSHAD
- Communicates information on the QHSE Management System throughout the organization and promotes HSE awareness through various communication channels, i.e., TBT, inductions, training, campaigns, flyers, discussions, emails, etc., in consultation with all relevant departments.
- Prepare QHSE documentation for clients/projects as per the requirements and in consultation with the BD / Operations team.
- Undertake QHSE inspections internally and with third parties (contractors) as per the approved inspection program of the company.
- Follows up on the preventive and/or corrective actions identified during the inspections and monitors the timely closing of the actions in coordination with other departments.
- Develop, facilitate, and review QHSE risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities in consultation with the operations team.
- Record key QHSE performance indicators every month and issue reports as necessary.
- Suggest and advise changes to ensure continuous improvement of any additional effective KPIs to be added in the system as part of continual improvement.
- Develops, implements, and encourages the behaviour-based safety culture in the organization through safe job observations and top management inspections.
- Perform daily walk-through in company facilities and/or in clients premises to monitor and promote a safe workplace.
- Support other staff and colleagues as and when required.
- Actively participate in the HSE incident investigations and prepare required reports in consultation with management.
- Act as the company representative in all regulatory QHSE meetings, committees, and seminars.
- Diligently performs any other reasonable work or related tasks at the request of his/her manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5–10 years of valve maintenance or mechanical workshop and Site experience in Quality & HSE
- Proficient in QMS, EMS & HSE Standards. NEBOSH & IMS Auditing Certification preferred
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of risk assessment techniques (e.g., HAZOP, HIRA), incident investigation, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, local environmental regulations).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential for training staff and liaising with external stakeholders
