Job Summary:
We are looking for a Civil HSE Engineer to ensure safety on hotel and high-rise building projects. The role focuses on implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, performing site inspections, supervising HSE officers, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards.
- Implement and ensure compliance with the Project Health and Safety Management Plan (PHSP) and HSE Management Programs.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and unsafe practices on hotel and high-rise construction sites.
- Lead and supervise HSE officers onsite to maintain safety standards.
- Advise supervisory staff on accident prevention and safe work methods specific to high-rise and hotel construction.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports, NCRs, and corrective actions.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and awareness activities for hotel and high-rise projects.
- Maintain all HSE documentation and ensure timely reporting of HSE performance.
- Support environmental compliance and chemical material management relevant to construction sites.
Job Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is must
- Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, with at least 3 years relevant experience in hotel or high-rise building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, including OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, and local Saudi regulations.
- Proven experience in risk assessment, site inspections, incident investigation, and implementation of HSE management plans.
- Experience in supervising HSE officers and coordinating with contractors, clients, and consultants.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, chemical management (MSDS), and waste minimization in construction projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze HSE data and prepare reports for management and clients.
- GCC experience is a plus; transferable Iqama is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and HSE software tools.
