HSE Officer
Bilfinger Middle East is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join our operations team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Health, Safety and Environmental standards across industrial maintenance and project sites, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement company HSE policies and HSE Management System (HSEMS).
- Monitor site safety through inspections, audits, walkthroughs and permit-to-work compliance.
- Conduct toolbox talks and HSE training for employees and subcontractors.
- Perform risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Follow up and close HSE observations and action items.
- Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses and prepare reports.
- Drive HSE awareness initiatives and employee engagement campaigns.
- Participate in client meetings, audits and site inspections.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and emergency drills.
- Conduct monthly HSE committee meetings.
- Maintain HSE documentation and reports for management and clients.
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across operations.
Requirements Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
- NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory).
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of HSE experience in:
- Mechanical Maintenance
- Industrial Services
- Oil & Gas
- Shutdowns/Turnarounds
- Plant Operations
- Experience working with ADNOC, EGA, TAQA, Borouge or similar industrial clients.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and industry best practices.
