Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to support an ongoing oil and gas project in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing health, safety, and environmental standards on site, ensuring full compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and systems at the project site
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, ADNOC or equivalent oil and gas standards, and client requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and ensure effective control measures are in place
- Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training sessions for site personnel
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE compliance
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, records, and reports
- Promote a strong safety culture across the project site
- Coordinate with project management and engineering teams on HSE matters
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in oil and gas projects
- Proven experience working on onshore or offshore oil and gas construction or operations projects
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and industry standards
- Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH IGC or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Safety, or a related field
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently on site
- Currently based in the UAE
- Available to join immediately
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ADNOC, EPC contractors, or major oil and gas operators
- ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 knowledge
- First Aid and Fire Safety certifications
