To ensure the effective coordination and supervision of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) aspects within marine operations.
To ensure compliance with relevant HSSE regulations, international regulations, client requirements and company policies.
To prevent incidents and promote a strong safety culture through regular inspections, audits, investigations, and training initiatives onboard vessels.
To monitor and report on HSSE performance, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the well-being of crew members
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise the implementation of HSSE aspects across all marine operations. Ensure compliance with international codes, company policies, and support the DPA-CSO role.
Monitor, record, and investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and deviations. Lead or support investigations to identify root causes and ensure corrective actions are taken and followed up.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on vessels. Verify safety activities, inductions, and maintain safety-related documentation. Ensure continuous compliance and effective implementation of safety measures.
Familiarize, train, and mentor employees on HSSE procedures. Drive a strong HSSE culture within the company and participate in relevant committees
Maintain daily contact and coordination with various stakeholders including HSSE Officers, Vessel Masters, crew, Marine Operations, and Client HSSE personnel. Control personnel screening and provide relevant safety information.
Maintain and analyse key performance indicators for HSSE, preparing regular reports and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
