JOB PURPOSE
To support the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team in implementing safety programs, monitoring workplace safety practices, conducting inspections, and gaining practical experience in occupational health and safety management within port and logistics operations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIE
- SAssist in conducting workplace safety inspections and observations
- Support the HSE team in monitoring compliance with safety procedures and company policies
- Participate in incident reporting and investigation processes under supervision
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying workplace hazards
- Help maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation
- Support safety induction programs for employees, contractors, and visitors
- Assist in organizing safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns
- Monitor the availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Participate in emergency drills and safety exercises
- Conduct routine site walks with HSE personnel to observe operational safety practices
- Support the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and risk assessments
- Assist in collecting safety performance data and preparing reports
- Perform other HSE-related duties assigned by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKIL
- LSRecent graduate or final-year student in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related disciplin
- e.Eligible for Co-op Training or Tamheer Progra
- m.Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety principle
- s.HSE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) are an advantag
