Job Description

Role Description The Health & Safety Manager at Mw Projetos e Construções is a part-time, remote role focused on promoting a safe and compliant work environment across projects. This role includes developing, implementing, and updating health and safety policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and company standards. The Health & Safety Manager will review project plans, conduct remote safety assessments, guide on risk mitigation, and support site teams in implementing safety protocols. Responsibilities also include coordinating and reviewing accident and incident reports, supporting investigations, tracking corrective actions, and preparing concise safety performance reports for management. The role involves collaborating with project leaders, providing training and guidance on best practices, and staying current with evolving occupational health and safety regulations relevant to construction activities.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to apply safety principles to construction projects.
  • Knowledge of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) practices and regulations, including risk assessment and control measures.
  • Experience in Accident Investigation and Inspection, including documenting findings and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
  • Familiarity with remote monitoring of safety practices and use of digital tools to track compliance and incident reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for engaging with diverse project teams and preparing clear safety documentation.
  • Relevant professional certifications in occupational health and safety or EHS (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) are preferred.
  • Prior experience in construction or engineering environments is beneficial, along with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
