Job Purpose:
Responsible for supporting on-site safety operations by carrying out inspections, monitoring work practices, and ensuring all personnel follow the company's safety procedures and regulations. The role focuses on hands-on site supervision to prevent accidents, enforce PPE use, and report unsafe conditions to management.
Main job duties and responsibilities
- Conduct daily site safety checks to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Monitor workers use of PPE and immediately correct non-compliance
- Identify unsafe practices or hazardous conditions
- Assist in carrying out safety inductions for workers and subcontractors
- Maintain records of daily safety inspections and incidents
- Assist in investigating minor incidents and preparing basic incident reports
- Ensure safety signs, barricades, and warning devices are in place where required
- Help monitor safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery
- Support emergency preparedness activities, such as drills and evacuation plans
- Stop any activity that poses an immediate danger until it is made safe
- Coordinate with the site first aid team when needed
- Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job's specialty
Job requirement:
Educational background and previous experience
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Health & Safety.
- Previous experience working on infrastructure projects is required.
