The Advisory Group (TAG) is a specialist consultancy providing Medical Programming, Medical Planning, and Medical FF&E Planning services to major healthcare developments across Kuwait and the GCC. We support clients and A/E consortia on complex projectsranging from ambulatory care and specialty centers to large tertiary hospitalsdelivering evidence-based clinical planning that is practical, procurement-aware, and design-coordination ready.
Established in 1997, TAG never had a website, does little marketing, and works exclusively through client referrals.
The Opportunity
We are expanding our team and are seeking a Healthcare Architect / Medical Planner to help deliver clinical planning workstreams across multiple high-profile hospital and specialized-care projects. This role suits a professional who can translate models of care into functional programs, workflows, and room-level planning requirements, while coordinating effectively with architects, engineers, and clinical stakeholders.
This is a fulltime position based in Kuwait City, Kuwait.
Key Responsibilities
- Support medical planning and clinical programming tasks across inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic & treatment, and clinical support departments.
- Develop and validate clinical adjacencies, patient/staff/material flows, and departmental concepts.
- Produce and manage core deliverables including:
1 - Blocking, Stacking, Circulation, and Room by Room Departmental Layouts.
2 - Functional Space Programs (FSPs) and room/space data sets
3 - User Group Meetings (UGMs): agendas, minutes, action logs, and decisions tracking
4 - Planning narratives supporting concept/schematic/detailed design submissions
- Coordinate with BIM/Revit and design teams to ensure planning requirements are accurately reflected in layouts and consistently applied across typical rooms.
- Support cross-discipline alignment with Medical FF&E planning and clinical operational requirements (utilities logic, functional zoning, infection prevention concepts, etc.).
- Contribute to internal quality control and standardization of TAG planning templates and outputs.
Required Experience & Profile
- Degree in Architecture (Healthcare focus strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in medical planning / healthcare architecture (hospital projects).
- Strong familiarity with clinical workflows, planning principles, and international codes (FGI, HTM/HBN, iHFG, etc.) :
- Ability to engage clinicians and convert feedback into clear, buildable planning outputs.
- Proficiency with planning documentation and digital workflows.
- Strong writing skills: ability to produce professional narratives and presentations, matrices, and meeting documentation.
