Heavy Duty Truck Driver

To safely and efficiently operate heavy-duty trucks for the transportation of goods, materials, containers, equipment, and other cargo within Jeddah and to other locations across Saudi Arabia, while ensuring compliance with company safety procedures, delivery schedules, and applicable KSA transportation and traffic regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks, trailers, flatbeds, container trucks, or other assigned heavy vehicles safely.
• Transport goods, containers, materials, and equipment between warehouses, customer locations, logistics facilities, project sites, and other designated locations.
• Perform local deliveries within Jeddah as well as intercity transportation across Saudi Arabia when required.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including tires, brakes, lights, fluids, batteries, and other safety-critical components.
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, distributed, and protected before transportation.
• Follow assigned routes, delivery schedules, and instructions from the Transport Supervisor or Dispatcher.
• Comply with Saudi traffic regulations, Transport General Authority requirements, and company HSE procedures.
• Maintain trip sheets, delivery notes, mileage records, fuel records, vehicle inspection checklists, and other required documents.
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, loading/unloading, and customer teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Immediately report vehicle breakdowns, accidents, traffic violations, cargo damage, delivery delays, or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain the assigned truck in clean and safe operating condition.
• Report mechanical defects and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and scheduled servicing.
• Follow safe reversing, parking, loading, and unloading procedures.
• Use GPS and approved routes to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
• Perform long-distance trips and work flexible shifts when required by operations.

Requirements

• Valid Saudi Heavy Vehicle / Heavy Transport Driving Licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
• Valid Professional Driver Card as required by Saudi Transport General Authority regulations.
• Safe operation of heavy-duty vehicles.
• Knowledge of local and intercity transportation routes.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting.
• Experience in logistics and transportation.
• Familiarity with GPS and route planning.
