Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Salary: 300 OMR – 350 OMR

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heavy construction machinery and equipment.

The candidate must have proven expertise in maintaining equipment such as CAT Dozers, Graders, Excavators, Loaders, Buses, Pickup Trucks, and other heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of heavy equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Conduct inspections to identify faults and ensure equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and service construction equipment as per manufacturer guidelines.
• Repair and maintain diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and related components.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintain service records and report equipment conditions to supervisors.
• Support field repairs and workshop maintenance activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Gulf experience is mandatory.
• Strong experience with construction machinery and earthmoving equipment.
• Hands-on experience with:
• CAT Dozers / Bulldozers
• Motor Graders
• Excavators
• Wheel Loaders
• Backhoe Loaders
• Heavy Trucks
• Buses and Pickup Trucks
• Knowledge of:
• Diesel Engine Repair
• Hydraulic Systems & Hydraulic Repair
• Preventive Maintenance
• Breakdown Maintenance
• Equipment Troubleshooting
• Electrical Diagnostics
• Transmission Repair

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience working with Caterpillar (CAT) equipment preferred.
• Ability to independently diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Strong knowledge of construction equipment maintenance.
• Good understanding of safety procedures and maintenance practices.
