Purpose of the Job: To load/unload goods to and from delivery vehicles; to maintain stores in good, clean order.
Job Accountabilities:
- Load and unload goods onto and from delivery vehicles as required.
- Assist in picking goods for consignments if product knowledge is sufficient.
- Accompany and assist the Driver on deliveries.
- Weigh and count received items.
- Assist warehouse staff in retrieving specified merchandise from storage as per delivery or shipping orders.
- Ensure that all merchandise is properly secured in the delivery vehicles to prevent damage during transit.
- Utilize warehouse lift equipment to load and unload merchandise as well as move, lift, or stack merchandise as needed.
- Organize warehouse merchandise and stack them on shelves and racks in accordance with company guidelines.
- Perform all duties necessary to maintain warehouse cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting as needed.
- Comply with and implement local laws and client's requirements related to QHSEMS aspects at the workplace, as per the bestowed authority and responsibility.
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned (in line with qualifications and ability) by the line manager.
Qualifications, Education, Experience & Knowledge:
Qualifications & Education:
- High school diploma in any stream.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an office environment.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of using photocopy machines and other office equipment.
