Overview:

David Webb is seeking a High Jewelry Sales and Client Experience Specialist for our new Abu Dhabi boutique. We are one of the world's most exclusive fine jewelry houses, based (and manufactured) in New York. Minimum 10 years experience in High Jewelry or Ultra-Luxury Retail is required. Candidates must already be based in the UAE or wider MENA region - relocation will not be provided.

Founded in New York City in 1948, David Webb is an iconic, luxury design House whose namesake founder redefined high jewelry. Known for creating exquisitely crafted, bold and unique jewelry, David Webb is widely considered one of the most influential designers of the 20th century.

Today, each David Webb creation is imbued with artisanal excellence and handwork, while drawing inspiration from a vast archive of over 40,000 original renderings, records, and design ideas. Form is essential in all David Webb jewels, and bold color, hand-hammered gold, intricate enamel work, and whimsical animal pieces continue to be prominently featured in the company's collections.

We are headquartered in an historic Neo-Classical building on Madison Avenue in New York's Upper East Side. 28 long-tenured master jewelers continue many of David Webb's own traditions, hand-crafting each piece in a workshop directly above the Company's flagship boutique. In addition to its New York City flagship, David Webb currently has boutiques in Beverly Hills, CA, and Doha, Qatar and is expanding its presence throughout MENA.

Position Overview:

The High Jewelry Sales and Client Experience Specialist plays a pivotal role in the success of our Abu Dhabi boutique, combining deep product expertise with an unwavering commitment to exceptional service. You will be responsible for creating memorable client experiences that reflect the artistry and heritage of David Webb, working closely with high-net-worth individuals who seek jewelry that transcends trends and becomes part of their personal legacy. This role requires equal mastery of high jewelry knowledge and the art of hospitality, ensuring that every client interactionfrom initial inquiry to post-purchase carereinforces the exclusivity and refinement of the David Webb experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional, personalized service to high-net-worth clients throughout their journey with David Webb, from discovery and consultation to acquisition and ongoing relationship management.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of high jewelryincluding gemology, metalwork techniques, design history, and David Webb's distinctive aestheticand communicate this expertise with clarity and sophistication.
  • Orchestrate seamless client experiences, from scheduling private appointments to coordinating trunk shows, ensuring every detail reflects the caliber of the house.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients by understanding their preferences, occasions, and personal style, anticipating needs and creating moments of delight.
  • Support bespoke commissions, liaising between clients and the New York atelier to bring their vision to life.
  • Maintain the boutique's presentation standards, ensuring the environment consistently reflects David Webb's commitment to artistry and excellence.
  • Contribute to client development initiatives, supporting outreach efforts and representing David Webb at regional events and gatherings.
  • Manage client records with meticulous attention to detail, tracking preferences, purchases, and relationship milestones to ensure continuity of service.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in high jewelry or ultra-luxury retail, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional client experiences.
  • Mastery of high jewelry sales with a sophisticated, consultative approach that builds enduring client relationships.
  • Extensive knowledge of precious gemstones, rare materials, and the artistry behind exceptional craftsmanship.
  • Proven track record designing and executing flawless client experiences - private viewings, exclusive appointments, and VIP activations.
  • Deep experience working with UHNW individuals and an intuitive understanding of the nuances, expectations, and discretion their world requires.
  • The ability to read between the lines, anticipate unspoken needs, and exceed expectations at every touchpoint.
  • Impeccable presence, absolute discretion, and refined communication across cultures.
  • Experience with heritage jewelry houses or established high jewelry maisons is essential.
  • Fluency in at least one of Arabic, Chinese, or Russian is required (in addition to English).

The position will be based in our Abu Dhabi boutique, and RELOCATION WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.
