Job Description
Role Description The Hospital Director role at Bay Area Human Resources Connections is a part-time, remote position focused on supporting hospital and healthcare organizational effectiveness from an HR and operations perspective. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing hospital operations policies, collaborating with clinical leaders to align medicine and care delivery with organizational standards, and monitoring service quality and patient experience. The Hospital Director will participate in budgeting and resource planning, recommend staffing and training strategies, and ensure that customer service and operational practices support a safe, efficient, and equitable environment. This role also involves advising on HR-related initiatives, mentoring emerging leaders in healthcare management, and contributing to baHRC discussions and programs relevant to hospital administration.
Qualifications
- Background in Medicine or healthcare administration, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Operations Management experience, including process improvement, workflow optimization, and coordination of hospital or healthcare services.
- Budgeting skills, such as managing departmental budgets, forecasting, and aligning financial decisions with organizational goals.
- Customer Service and patient experience skills, with a focus on empathy, communication, and service recovery in a healthcare setting.
- Training and development skills, including designing or overseeing staff training, leadership development, and compliance education.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities, with attention to detail and data-informed decision-making.
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, part-time capacity.
- Experience in hospital administration, healthcare operations, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MHA, MPH, MBA, MD/DO, RN with leadership experience) is beneficial but not required.
