Role Description The Hotel General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Hurghada, responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations to ensure a high-quality guest experience. This role manages daily activities across front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services, aligning operations with brand standards and guest satisfaction goals. The Hotel General Manager leads and develops department heads and teams, implements service and cleanliness standards, and ensures compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, monitoring revenue performance, and coordinating with sales and marketing to optimize occupancy and profitability. The role also involves fostering a positive work environment, resolving escalated guest issues, maintaining vendor relationships, and preparing regular performance reports for senior leadership.
Qualifications
  • Strong hotel and hospitality leadership background, with skills in General Management and Business Management.
  • Demonstrated excellence in Customer Service, with a focus on guest satisfaction and service recovery.
  • Proficiency in Budgeting, financial planning, and cost control within a hotel or resort environment.
  • Experience in Food & Beverage operations, including quality control, menu development support, and service standards.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams, coach staff, and build an inclusive, high-performance culture.
  • Solid understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and safety regulations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in resort or luxury hotel management, ideally in leisure destinations or similar markets.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities, with readiness to work flexible hours as needed.
