Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Hotel Recreation Manager located in Sahl Hasheesh. The Recreation Manager is responsible for overseeing all leisure, fitness, pool, beach, kid's club and entertainment operations, ensuring that the Resort standards and procedures are understood and implemented. Key responsibilities include maintaining proper coverage and supervision of the Recreation facilities at all times. Ensuring that all Recreation facilities are properly set-up and ready for guests use, upholding safety and cleanliness at pools, beach, fitness centre, kid's club and entertainment areas. Staff Management: Hire, train, and schedule recreation teams, animators, and outside vendors. Assign duties and responsibilities to the Recreation Team members, and to assist them in their duties. To be present at the pool and beach areas during operation times to welcome guests, and oversee staff performance. Manage any guest complaint in a professional manner, by resolving it and making sure the guest is satisfied, and recording it. Training: ensure all Recreation staff receive comprehensive training on operational procedures, with particular emphasis on safety standards and protocols. To ensure the proper use of all the recreational equipment and hotel management system and to have a perfect knowledge of the set ups. Budgeting: Control department expenses, inventory, and equipment purchases. 

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience in similar role in a hotel/resort.

Degree in Hospitality Management, or Recreation Management.

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

Service oriented

Self-motivated and energetic

Outstanding organizational skills.

Certified First Aid / Health and safety / CPR and AED/ Basic water rescuer training.

Fluency in English and Arabic (additional languages are a plus)
