Housekeeping Attendant

Role Overview

Join our hospitality team as a Housekeeping Attendant, where you'll contribute to creating exceptional guest experiences at The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah. In this ONSITE role, you will maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation throughout guest rooms and assigned areas, ensuring a warm, luxurious, and memorable stay for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, suites, corridors, public areas, and other assigned areas according to hotel standards.
• Ensure guest rooms are serviced efficiently and presented to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish bathroom and guest amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and clean furniture, fixtures, floors, windows, and other surfaces as required.
• Maintain proper cleanliness and organization of housekeeping equipment, trolleys, and storage areas.
• Inspect assigned rooms and areas to ensure all housekeeping standards are consistently met.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, lost and found items, or guest concerns promptly to the supervisor.
• Handle guest requests professionally and provide prompt assistance whenever required.
• Replenish housekeeping supplies, amenities, linens, and other necessary items to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Follow proper procedures for handling guest belongings, lost and found items, and special requests.
• Maintain appropriate levels of hygiene, sanitation, and safety at all times.
• Use cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment safely and according to hotel procedures.
• Assist with special cleaning projects, deep cleaning, and other housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Work closely with other housekeeping and hotel departments to ensure excellent guest service.
• Perform side duties and any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  
  

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Housekeeping Attendant, Room Attendant, Cleaner, or in a similar hospitality role.
• Good knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, cleaning methods, and hygiene standards.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, presentable, and well-groomed appearance aligned with hotel standards.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving housekeeping equipment.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Proactive, positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Basic organizational skills and the ability to manage assigned rooms and tasks efficiently.
