Hilti Asia Pacific is the regional office for South Asia Pacific, overseeing subsidiaries in Australia, New Zealand, India and South East Asia. The HRBP in our organisation has a dual role - one is to Partner with the Regional Business Units on People topics at all levels in our Regional Office, and the other is a Regional role to steer Diversity & Inclusion and Employee Engagement in the South Asia Pacific Region. The role will blend the knowledge of HR processes along with project management, working across the matrix in our multinational organization.

What does the role involve

  • Build strong working relationships, trust and credibility with stakeholders and leaders at local, regional and global levels
  • Lead both strategic and operational business topics in our direct-sales business model
  • Working across all aspect of the function's remit, including end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, deliver HR workshops, employee relations etc.
  • Assisting and supporting Team Leaders across the business on organizational structure and design, building strong talent pipelines, coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Work in partnership with the business identify employees with high potential, develop career paths in consideration of key roles for succession planning and self-development
  • Developing the HR project plan for employee engagement and Diversity & Inclusion, working closely with Local HR teams to ensure the key milestones are identified, and progress is achieved over time.
  • Collating and owning key people data and undertaking detailed data analysis -Regular project reporting to the relevant business leaders
  • Tracking and monitoring progress and escalating business risks where appropriate and ensure smooth and timely completion of the project

What you need is:

  • Postgraduate degree in Human Resources or related field
  • At least 6 years demonstratable experience as a senior HR Professional in a commercially driven organization, particularly a direct-sales MNC business model
  • At least 2 years Proven experience creating and managing talent pools, succession planning and partnering with the business to develop our People
  • Experience project managing employee engagement surveys, including data analysis and presentation of recommendations
  • Strong understanding of HR topics including employee engagement, employee relations, talent management and recruitment and delivers HR processes very efficiently and speedily
  • Strategic mind-set with ability to apply innovative thinking to resolve issues & partner with key stakeholders in the business while leading business stakeholder from an operational perspective
  • Challenges as well as influence a variety of stakeholders effectively, especially across a matrixed organization
  • Ability to present sound and well-reasoned arguments to convince others. Can draw from a range of strategies to persuade people to agreement or effect change. Anticipates and adapts to change very well
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional languages would be a plus
