Role Purpose
The HR Generalist supports and manages daily HR functions across recruitment, employee relations, HR operations, performance management, and training. The role ensures compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards, GMP requirements, and labor laws, contributing to a productive and well-regulated work environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for junior to mid-level pharma and manufacturing roles.
- Conduct screening, shortlisting, and initial interviews.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and follow up on feedback.
- Lead the onboarding process and ensure completion of hiring documents and orientation.
- Maintain recruitment reports and HR trackers.
2. Employee Relations
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Handle basic conflict resolution and escalate complex cases.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communications.
- Monitor workplace climate and provide recommendations to enhance employee satisfaction.
3. HR Operations & Documentation
- Maintain accurate employee records, attendance, leave balances, and HR databases.
- Prepare HR letters, contracts, warnings, and disciplinary documents.
- Ensure HR processes comply with labor laws and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
- Administer medical insurance, renewal processes, and employee claims.
4. Performance Management
- Coordinate probation evaluations and follow up on documentation.
- Support the annual performance appraisal cycle.
- Track performance issues and assist in improvement plans.
5. Training & Development
- Coordinate mandatory GMP, compliance, and safety training.
- Maintain training logs in alignment with audit and regulatory requirements.
- Support L&D initiatives and training needs assessments.
6. Compensation & Benefits
- Provide payroll support through collecting attendance, overtime, leaves, and shift data.
- Assist with annual compensation reviews and benefits administration.
7. Compliance & Audits
- Ensure HR records and documentation are ready for GMP, ISO, and regulatory audits.
- Prepare audit reports and support HR compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- 25 years of HR experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, HR processes, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
