About the Role

Responsible for building and leading the HR function across the Middle East & Africa region, supporting business expansion from 0 to 1 and through subsequent growth phases. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, driving talent acquisition, organizational development, and HR systems to enhance organizational effectiveness and productivity in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Organization & HR System: Build and continuously optimize the HR framework for MEA, ensuring effective localization of HQ policies and improving organizational efficiency.
  • Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment for key roles and establish local talent pipelines to support rapid business expansion.
  • Performance & Incentives: Develop and implement performance management and incentive systems to drive results and business growth.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Manage employee relations and labor risks, ensuring full compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • HR Business Partnering: Partner closely with business leaders to support workforce planning, cost control, and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above, with 8+ years of HR experience and 3+ years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in overseas markets or managing multicultural teams; Middle East experience preferred.
  • Background in retail, FMCG, or e-commerce is a plus.
  • Familiar with UAE labor law and HR compliance practices.
  • Fluent in English as a working language.

  • Strong balance of strategic thinking and execution, with the ability to drive results in complex environments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong resilience under pressure.
  • Proven experience in building HR systems from 0 to 1 or during rapid expansion.
  • Strong cross-cultural communication and collaboration skills.
